Never (c) 2004 Ahmed Arsalan

Never
In a million years
Will I ever
Shed those tears
I will hold them back
I won't show my fears
Clever
That's what I thought it was
Could I ever
learn to be so strong
I will never fall
And I will stand tall
When my heart has a hole
And the misery is untold
When the spirit is gone
And the nights are too long
When the cries are muted
When the heart is uprooted
Can a man really find himself
When faith has eroded
Forever
That's how long it has been
Since my soul left me dead
and buried in my troubles
Searching
For that all elusive context
Believing but really not
Feeling but really not
Living but really not
When my heart has a hole
And the misery is untold
When the spirit is gone
And the nights are too long
When the cries are muted
When the heart is uprooted
Can a man really find himself
When faith has eroded
Hope
Is an elusive dream
(Like) An imaginary stream
Holding back
a loud deafening scream
Holding on
to my own self esteem
Forever
That's how long it has been
Since my soul left me dead
and buried in my troubles
Searching
For that all elusive context
Believing but really not
Feeling but really not
Living but really not
Never
In a million years
Will I ever
Shed those tears
I will hold them back
I won't show my fears
Clever
That's what I thought it was
Could I ever
learn to be so strong
I will never fall
And I will stand tall
